LLC «BUDYVELNYK-3» for HDD method  uses its own drilling machines VERMEER NAVIGATOR D7x11, D18x22, D33x44, D36x50, D100x120 of American production. The capacity of these plants allow to build polyethylene or steel piping length of 1,000 m and a diameter of 1000 mm to a depth of 50m. HDD Equipment of American manufacturing VERMEER characterized by high technical performance, reliability, easy maintenance and easy operation. As additional equipment the company uses its own excavators and trenchers.

All drilling systems VERMEER NAVIGATOR of LLC «BUDYVELNYK-3» equipped with high-precision systems of location DigiTrak, allowing control of drilling and underground utilities run without departing from the project.

To perform drilling operations rods FIRESTICK are used which characterized by high reliability and can perform drilling twist slopes 90 degrees at a distance of 30 to 60m depending on the length of the rods. 

During the rotation of the drill occurs rectilinear drilling, a change of direction in any of the four planes is carried with pushing the drilling head with simultaneous stop of rotation. A drilling head is selected depending on the complexity of soil. LLC «BUDYVELNYK-3» use drills TriHawk, which were tested in frozen soils and rocky, sand, clay etc. and allow to work with high complexity.

In the reverse movement of the drill pore expands to the desired diameter with special extenders. This provides the possibility of forming the desired channel diameter without breaking the external landscape. LLC «BUDYVELNYK-3» has dilators of different diameters for laying pipes with diameter up to 1000 mm.

Bentonite is fed through rods and openings in the drilling head directly to the spot with drilling mud preparation system. It provides free cutting and strengthening the walls of the borehole, transport of drilling products, lubrication borehole walls while tightening into it pipeline of appropriate diameter. It is possible to run one or multiple pipes.

Depending on specifications and HDD parameters of drilling machines, drilling equipment are divided into several classes that define the conditions of use (drilling machine of low, medium and high power).

HDD drilling machine of low power («mini»). These machines are developing tractive effort up to 4 tons, the maximum depth of passing drill - 12m. Machines of this class are used for construction and repair of underground utilities diameter of 300 mm on plots up to 150m. Options of such machines (small dimensions, traction) lead to their use in difficult conditions of dense housing of modern cities and settlements. At LLC «BUDYVELNYK-3» this class of machines is represented by HDD machine VERMEER NAVIGATOR D7x11. Urban drilling machine NAVIGATOR D7x11 is used for construction of new and rehabilitation of existing pipelines with diameter up to 300mm; repair of existing water supply and sanitation in remote places; construction of cable passages under roads without damaging pavement and without stopping the movement of all modes of transport.

HDD drilling machine of average power («middle»). The length of the horizontal drilling section is 300 to 600 meters, the maximum depth of the passage of the drill - 15 m, maximum pipe diameter - 600 mm, the pulling power of 16 tons. The park of LLC «BUDYVELNYK-3» presented at once three machines of this class: VERMEER NAVIGATOR D18x22, D33x44 and D36x50, which tractive efforts are under 8, 15 and 16 tons. These machines are used for trenchless construction and restoration of water supply and drainage, construction of product pipelines and taps of pipelines, construction of gravity sewer, installation of cable passages under railways, roads, rivers, lakes, parks, public gardens in the industrial enterprises and others.

Backbone high power drilling machine («maxi»). Their maximum traction is above 40 tones. A good representative of this class is American manufacturing machine VERMEER NAVIGATOR D100h120.  Vermeer NAVIGATOR D100h120 use John Deere diesel engine 6068 with capacity 225 hp that allows us to develop traction up to 45 tones at 16kNm torque. With this setup you can run communications to 1000mm in diameter at a distance of 1200m and a depth of 50 m. LLC «BUDYVELNYK-3» use the NAVIGATOR D100x120 for the construction of trunk oil and gas pipelines under large rivers, forests, protected areas, factories, enterprises, and in cities where a single pass is necessary to lay a power utilities.

Today, virtually none of the projects of LLC «BUDYVELNYK-3» does not performed without using of HDD technology. Our experience in execution of works by HDD method is exceeding 150 km. Recently LLC «BUDYVELNYK-3» are successfully built siphon transitions under the river Southern Bug for the gas pipeline; laid water pipes and gravity sewers in Borshchagovka Kyiv city; performed the restoration of water supply systems in Yarmolyntsi Khmelnitsky region and Litin Vinnitsa region; laid metal cases for pipelines under roads and railways in Odessa and Vinnitsa regions; built pipelines in Ternopil and many other works.
